Free Invasive Plant Survey of Your Land

Picture

Are you concerned about invasive plants degrading your property in Monroe County?

We often hear that landowners think they may have invasive plants on their land, but that they are not sure.  It's sometimes not easy to identify invasive plants, so MC-IRIS is here to help.

Apply to have a volunteer from MC-IRIS (Monroe County - Identify and Reduce Invasive Species) join you in touring your property to identify invasive species that may be present.
Our volunteers will provide information on invasive plants found and on methods for controlling them. Donations are welcome but not required.

Note - we only do surveys from mid-April to mid-October when we can best see and identify plants. The application form will be put up in early April next year. If you need help outside of that time:

1. Join the Indiana Invasive Plant Advisory Committee Facebook group and post photos of the invasive species there.
2. Join the MC-IRIS Facebook group and post photos of the invasive species there.
3. Email photos to
mciris2022@gmail.com
