Grow Indiana Natives

Picture
An estimated 86% of invasive woody species, species like Asian bush honeysuckle, privet, and burning bush, come from landscape plantings.  MC-IRIS started the Grow Indiana Natives project in 2009 to promote the sale of native plants as well as reduce the sale of invasive plant species, and the Indiana Native Plant Society has now expanded this program statewide.

To learn more about the Grow Indiana Natives program and find out where to buy native plants in Monroe County, visit the website.

Keep your eye out for the Grow Native logo at Monroe County plant retailers to insure you are purchasing plants native to Indiana.
